A Lasting Contribution – 10 Years of Extraordinary

A message from Henry Fracchia, Chairman of the Banish the Black Dog Charity Ride

To all previous riders

Dear supporter of the Banish the black dog charity bike ride, and more importantly rider.  In my role as the chairman of the organising committee of this wonderful event, I am taking the time to contact all previous riders to let them know that the 2018 Banish the Black Dog Charity Bike Ride marks the 10th Anniversary of this great event.

From humble beginnings come great achievements and this is evidenced in the hard work by our riders and extraordinary support from the community. As you will be aware, the major recipient of funds raised by the BtBD Bike Ride is Australian Rotary Health (ARH), one of the largest independent funders of mental health research within Australia.

This year we are privileged to have Terry Davies, Corporate Manager for Australian Rotary Health, join us for the weekend. Terry will be speaking with the ride group on the Friday night and will go over the statistics and details of just how much our little ride has raised and donated to ARH

As a past rider we would like you to be part of the celebrations. We are sending out a personal invitation to all of our registered past riders to join us again in 2018. You are encouraged to wear your previous ride jersey on the Sunday morning as you ride back to Townsville.  Please consider being part of this great event.

Details of how to register can be found by visiting our newly updated web page, http://banishtheblackdog.org.au/register

To all those past riders who have already registered for the ride this year, thank you. Our gratitude is endless and we look forward to celebrating with you in Ayr this year.

To all riders who are new to the ride as of 2018, welcome to our little community of fundraisers. Please get involved, meet new people, raise money, and celebrate hard with us in Ayr on the Saturday night. We hope you will be with us for years to come.

With lasting gratitude,

Henry and the BtBD Committee
